It’s been a wild and exciting season at Brighton Speedway, with a late afternoon downpour, track management and persevered and with a bit of a late start, all classes hit the track. Pristine Property Maintenance Ltd. and Campbellford Chrysler hosted a thrilling night, with a fast track and high energy.
The Quinte Septic Stingers took the first green flag of feature racing, with No 47 Josh Sparks starting on the poll alongside No 03 Dillon Barker. The twelve-lap feature featured fourteen competitors and a couple of early caution flags, No 95 Nicole Deveau made the way to the front of the pack. No 29 driven by Jordan Mitts for Cody Easton, came from the back of the pack. Collecting her first feature finish, Deveau led the last two laps followed by Sparks, Barker, Mitts and No 99 Alex Woods.
The Bill’s Johns Mini Stock division took to the field No 22 Tyson Gregory took the lead from his fourth starting spot but by lap 7 No 96 Cole Abrams had the position in hand. The fifteen-lap feature finished with Abrams in victory lane, followed by Tufford, Rhodes, No 54 Tim Moore and from 12th place starting position, rookie contender No 2 Trevyn McCrillis crossed the scales for his first time finishing off the top five.
The Gord’s Water Vantastics, with 13 entrants started their feature event in between turns 1 and 2 for a crazy turn of events. Track promoter Mark Rinaldi moved tires onto the race surface to create a chicane and had the drivers making right turns instead of left. 12 Laps of entertaining battle kept poll sitter No 12 Mitch Wilkinson in the lead. He was followed across the line by No 01 Cody Juby, No 19 Del MacGregor with the hard charger of the event coming from 12 position, No 09 Calvin Reid and No 7 Rick Phillips.

Speedway partners, Hotch’s Auto Parts, Deerhaven Powersports & Vanderlaan Building Products quickly came through with a $1500.00 purse for a 12 Lap Dash for Cash. Six cars were in attendance but motor issues with No 73 Anthony Rinaldi put five cars on the starting block. No 11 Kyle Sopaz and No 41 Ryan Lambert put on an astounding race, running neck and neck for the 12 laps, with Lambert pressing hard to get around Sopaz. They ended at the line with Sopaz a tenth of a second ahead of Lambert. No 33 David Vandertoorn, No 21 Rich Sanders and No 60 Norm Mayhew would complete the field.
