Scorching Summer, Scorching Speed

Brighton Speedway Kart Klub Keeps the Action Rolling for night number 5 on the 2025 season!

The Box Stock 1 division kicked off the night with a 6-pack of racers ready to roll. #23 Austin McBride in the MetalCraft Kustoms ride fired off strong from a 2nd row starting position to challenge pole sitter #100 Bauer Cochrane early in the 10 lap main event, laying down smooth laps and making a move to the inside to get the top spot and the Win. Roslin’s #17 Keaton Chatten followed suit and slid into a 2nd place finish, #100 Cochrane showed consistency to land 3rd, while #41 Hudson VanDyk, #12 Emmett Ferguson, and #36 Rowan Rosborough rounded out the running order.
Rookie 1 saw the PHF Equine #11 Bentley Fulton back in form, hammering down off corner 4 and into clean air early. #92 Race Turner gave chase, keeping the pressure on as #37 Ella Wannamaker held strong in 3rd. A slick surface tested the young drivers, but Fulton stayed composed and picked up another win for the mantle. #92 Turner in 2nd, #37 Wannamaker 3rd, #91 Kara Veenstra and #05 Liam Baldwin battled mid-pack and finished 4th and 5th, while #8 Luca Ferrante and #41 Peyton Lambert kept the fans entertained with some tight racing to the line.
Three karts made the call for Junior Sportsman 1, and it was #29 Lily Walters in the Noble Roots Landscaping ride who turned up the glitter power and took command early. #77 Max VanDyk in the JMK Homes kart tried to reel her in, but Walters was flawless on the fast line. #15 Charlotte DeWal in the Vanderlaan Building Products machine kept pace and stayed out of trouble to secure a solid 3rd. A smooth, green-to-checkers run for the trio with Walters adding another W to her season tally.
A full field of 9 karts lit up the clay for Box Stock 2, and it was #01 Keely Patterson who stole the show from pole sitter #22 Jackson Gregory. Patterson ran clean and fast, dodging cautions and chaos to take the win. #79 Luke Cuthbertson charged hard from mid-pack to grab 2nd, while #39 Lucas Wannamaker threaded the needle for a podium finish. #68 Gunner Ellis, #22 Jackson Gregory, and #7 Reese Kerr kept the crowd on their feet with some wild moves, while #44 Nora Grant, #10 Abel Kiltz, and #9 Paislee Delbianco rounded out the action in a race that had more twists than a midway rollercoaster.
The Rookie 2 feature was a barnburner with Picton’s #07 Connor Vancott showing why he’s one to watch. Vancott made a slick move early and never looked back, holding off #47 Colton White who had the David Weir-sponsored ride dialed in. #10 Alyssa Nolasco kept it steady for 3rd, while #101 Jase Patterson and #87 Weston Mitts traded paint mid-pack. #48 Knoxin Wells and #86 Sawyer McFadden rounded out the field in a race that had fans cheering from start to finish.
Junior Sportsman 2 saw #01 Blake Gregory in the Scott’s Haulage ride take the early lead and put the Go Fast Pedal on lock – 10 laps and #ParkedIt in victory lane for the first time this season #08 Lilly Ray in the Raycam kart battled hard for a 2nd place. #7 Tate Black, fresh off a win streak and the drive for 5, made a late-race push but had to settle for 3rd this time around. #10 Hanna Merry and #2 Liam McPeak kept it clean and competitive, rounding out the top 5 in a race that saw tight lines and smart driving from the young guns.
Junior Restricted was a three-kart showdown with #19 Bentley Davidson in the What? Nooo Waaay ride locking down the inside line and doing his best to keep ahead of the action behind him. Davidson found the fast groove early and never gave it up – cruising straight to victory lane. #14 Chase White and #11 Teegan Grosse held their own title fight for 2nd, taking it all 12 rounds, low, high, on track and off – the fans got there moneys worth tonight.  Davidson with the win, White for 2nd and Grosse 3rd.
Blue Clone wrapped up the night with 6 fast karts and a whole lot of horsepower. #9 Rhys Massey from Port Hope found the bite early as #89 Kolby Ellis and #70 Finley Mahoney caught the draft and closed in and then moved on by.  Ellis and Mahoney distanced themselves from the group as the temperature got turned up.  White flag in the air as the pair charged down the backstretch Mahoney looks inside as they roll into corner 3 – contact as Ellis spins – Checkers out – #70 crosses first.  Track officials go upstairs for the decision – #9 Rhys Massey awarded the win, holding off brother #99 Bryce Massey for 2nd. #70 Finley Mahoney docked 2 spots for contact and scored 3rd, while #10 Chris Lough and #89 Kolby Ellis, and #88 Jase Fargey finished the order.
